so much to gain
yet i can lose so much
i do not want to
but i have no choice

only part of this is up to me
today it is all on you
make the effort for me please
so i can show you what i have to give

time is always the key
but it is not always plenty
lets spend what time we have
with only each other here

if i could choose only one person
it would always be you
but it is never me it seems
always another that is not me

my one and only is you
i wish you would understand
my affection is given only to you
because you are special

just take some time with me
and perhaps you shall see
the world which i belong to
that i freely give to you

i am fading my dear
from your dark light
someone else has claimed my body
but you will always have my heart

my soul is for the one,
whom i bind myself forever to
which cannot be you for you are blind
and i am too cold to stand in the darker cold
