The path set before me
I layed out on my own
Waiting for someone to hold me
Waiting to find my home
And I realize
It doesn't matter where I go
Because on the inside
I'm not alone
In the night
We're all a walking shadow
In the light
I see all those who are shallow
So I confide
To the darkness inside of me
So I can find
What doesn't make me lonely
Upon the inside
Is where I know
On the outside
I walk alone
I walk so far away
From the faces that surround me
So the path I lay
Won't be lonely
I drift away
To my home
Where every day
I can walk alone
I see them all
But they don't see me
They try to make me crawl
But I refuse to walk to their misery
So I confide
To the darkness inside of me
So I can find
What doesn't make me lonely
Upon the inside
Is where I know
On the outside
I walk alone
