So I turned "legal" on Monday.

Being 21 is no different from being 20, I guess. Just... Here's the bummer: There's this girl in my class, really kinda popular, and her and I have gotten to know each other a bit over the last months. It started as a deal to help her study, but kinda got out of hand. I would help her out whenever she needed it, I taught her stuff, I even got my dad to dig through all his drawers just so I could give her a charge cable for her laptop when hers broke... I would get up at 5 o'clock for her, even though school didn't start until noon just to fix her presentation that was due that day. I would make her homework when she had nothing better to do than put on a 2 inch layer of makeup on her face. I would defend her when people were calling her names, I would even write whole essays for the girl and help her with numerous presentations when she just collapsed in tears because she couldn't do it. I would do all the work on projects so she had time for other things. Just now, she asked me to translate stuff into English for her, and... I mean, I do so much for people all the time, and never really expect anything back, and it's okay. But I've done so much for this girl, and back in the day she would feel bad and try and give me money for my efforts or treat me to a coffee and stuff. So I really got to like her. Now, she just hooks up with me whenever she's being a big failure again.

So I told pretty much the whole world that my birthday was on the same day we had our English exam. Monday. I'd seen her mark the date in her calendar, and so I was kinda hoping she'd remember to wish me a happy birthday. She didn't. Oh well, I thought, it's a stressful day, so she probably just forgot, no biggie. She'll get home and see the date marked in the calendar and then wish me a happy birthday on Wednesday. Again: she didn't. So I got kinda disappointed. On Friday she didn't even say hi, so I decided to stop talking to her. And just now she came online to ask me for help again. I'm just so glad this school year is over. Once I get this computer cable back, I'm going to remove her from my friendlist. Friendship really isn't worth it for me when you're just being used. She won't mind. Popular people hardly ever notice when someone who used to be a friend suddenly disappears. It's just the way they step on everyone. She'll find someone else to earn all these good grades for her. (I wonder by how many overall grade points I upped her score this year...)

On a happier side note, my boyfriend got me a RED ROSE for my avatar when I was feeling down! heart I was like "Awww, that's like the cutest thing!" I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for that guy...
