In life we are blind
It is only through death that we see
What it is we have yet to be
All our lives we fly along
In existence blank and void
Till we pay our final due
St. Peter smiles, Satan smiles
They've been waiting all the while
But which one gets us, which one owns us?
Your mind will tell the tale
Your dreams do not betray
As your heart is led astray
Too long I've watched and waited
So many times I've lied
So few friends left to guide
Sorry eyes and mirthless tears
Have led me to these endless years
For death I live, for life I die
Hell is just one more surprise,
And Heaven a star in my sky

Now rest in peace my tired friend
Knowing I shant live again
