WOW! WOW! OH WOW!
I can not belive that I just Graduated High School, I'll highlight the event in my own words in the entry!
First off I had to be at the Colloseum by 1 o'clock because I needed to be in my assigned line before walking out onto the gym floor at two. I stood in heels, squated in heels and sat on the floor of a small warm-up gym. Growing aggitated with the time, when we started out and headed into the bigger gym, the gym where all the basketball games where head at the University. I walked into the gym where all the parents and loved ones and friends, teachers and adminstrative sat, an appaulse went up. Going down the steps then to my row of chairs. There I stood till the National antheim was sung then we sat.
The first "Top Ten" those who graduated the top of the class, were called then it became a terrible wait, I was in the "V's", I was on edge, sitting in my chair, shiffting because it was so hot in my navy gown. probaly about 90 mins passed when my row stood and began to walk up to the front. when I was about five people from, I started to grow nervous, shaking slightly in the hands, when I gave my counciler a huge hug, I knew I had nothing to be afriad of, I walked up and claimed my diploma book, shaking someones hand that I didn't know then as I walked off, I huged my Principle and my Assisstan Principle (AP).
I did it and I felt like had grown up, I had acomplished something big for my first time in life. I grew up, and my life felt changed. I hope that those who are reading this will understand or have felt it when they had crossed the stage. I wish all those who are Graduating next year or in the years to come, to take courage and do really well in school, do not quit when the rime is hard, that will mean you are accapting defeat, instead, I want you to Yahoo Music search this song, "You Carried me" by Building429. It was one song that got me through the hard/tough times and I knew that it will get you through yours as well.
