The last few days have been wonderful. They were just what I had been needing to recuperate some of the optimism that had been leaving me. So wonderful, in fact, that when G called me on the phone earlier tonight, I didn't hesitate to pick up.

What a mistake. Turns out all he wanted to do was sneer at me - "oh, I wasn't expecting you to pick up". "Then why did you call?" I wanted to ask. The sound of his friends' laughter on the background every time he took a jab at me didn't help to the success of the conversation, either, and his sarcasm when talking about my problems was not appreciated. The idiot. stare

Though... now I have to wonder... could H cancelling all of our encounters this week have anything to do with this? Well, better not think about it too much. It's not like I don't already know what these "friends" are made of.

Tch... but, somehow, my good mood survived! Really, just meeting and talking (however briefly) to one good person is enough to keep me going through crap like G's for a LONG time. And I've had a fair share of extraordinary people these past few days. heart
