The First Chapter of my story


Chapter 1

The Uninvited Guest







“Help! Someone! Help me please!” I cried. I don’t know who was chasing me, but I knew one thing…it wasn’t human. “Help!” I cried again. Great…the one time I walk through the forest to get home from school some weirdo with long hair chases me! Just my luck. Oof…dang nabbit! I tripped on a rock. I got up and turned around to run again but when I looked back the beast was gone. Was it because I tripped that the monster disappeared? I’m not sure, but what ever that thing was it was gone for now.

When I got home that same afternoon I wasn’t myself. I mean who wouldn’t after a giant creature just tried to attack you? “Hey mother! I’m home from school!” I yelled upstairs to my mothers’ room. “Oh! Summer honey! Welcome home. How was school?” My mother asked me when she was racing down the stairs. I paused. “Should I tell her about the creature in the forest?” I asked myself. She’d freak if she knew I went through the forest. It’s not my fault I’d rather take the shorter way home. “It was fine mommy. I got an A on my science exam.” I said with a little smile on my face. “Oh! That’s great Sum!” my mom squealed. “There will be no cussing in my house hold!!!” a mans voice came from the living room. “Oh hush up Craig! Summer just got another A in a class is all.” My mother said. I felt special knowing my parents were always talking about me.

I went up to my room after the little discussion about my “A” in science. I loved my room, so peace, quiet, and I had a Justin Timberlake poster in it. Hey…he’s hot. Huh? I open the door to my room and saw my window open. “MOTHER!! Were you in my room???” I yelled. “No!” she called back to me. Weird…I never leave my window open, and why in the world did it smell like dogs??

Oh well. Might as well do my homework and not think about what’s wrong with my room, so I sit on my bed. “Dum ditty dum dum.” I thought in my head as I was doing math homework. Suddenly I hear a loud breathing sound, and it wasn’t coming from me. “Summer…” the voice called to me. Holy crap! It knew my name! “Summer…” It called again. “Who are you? What do you want?” I asked. Typical I ask the same questions those actress’ in movies ask when they’re about to get eaten. “Summer…you will join us.” It said. No way was I going to be one of them, I didn’t even know who they are.

Silence filled the air, and the breathing stopped. I look around the room in panic. Then slowly…my closet door started to open. Then I saw big red eyes staring at me. “You will join us summer. It is your destiny.” It called to me. “When hell freezes!” I yelled. Suddenly a big fluffy thing sprinted towards me. “YOU WILL JOIN US!” The monster yelled. “AHHHHH!” I screamed. My door slammed open. “What’s wrong Summer?” my mother asked scared beyond her mind. I didn’t answer right away. I was too scared, and I was even shaking like a scared puppy dog. “I-Is it gone?” I asked. “Is what gone? What happened?” my mother asked walking towards my bed. I looked up slowly at my closet. It was gone; maybe my mother scared the monster away. Who knew?

“N-Nothing mom. My math homework just scared me with all the problems I have to do.” I lied. She signed deeply. “Don’t scare my like that summer. Give your old mom a heart attack!” she said. “Sorry.” I said back. I usually don’t lie but in this case it was necessary.

She started walking to the door. “Dinner is in ten minuets. I’m making your favorite!” she smiled happily. I smiled back. My mom always knows how to make me happy. “Thanks mom.” I said getting back to my math homework. “What ever that thing is,” I thought. “It’s going to be coming back for more.”
