Chapter 1: The Proposal: How I'd Like it to Happen Mode
In a way, I should've seen it coming. Tail and I had been going out for a few months now. He could hardly keep his eyes off of me for one second. That night, we strayed from the group to watch the stars by some hillside, each's hand on one another, his tail intertwined in my fingers. "Say, Katie," Tail asked, rubbing his neck in slight anxiety, "can I ask you something?" "Sure." I said. "We've known each other for a while now." He started, shifting to face me. "And I was thinking, What if you don't have to leave Oz?" "I'm sorry, but this isn't my world," I started, sounding sad, but I perked up with this thought, "But you could live with me." "I was thinking the same thing." Tail said with a smirk, standing up and pulling me onto my feet. He gripped my hands tightly, looked me in the eye and said, "Katie, I love you. You and I both know that. But," He lowered to his knee, reaching into his pocket, "I want to see you everytime I wake up, look into your eyes every night before I fall asleep, be by your side all my life." My heart began to race, my blood feeling hotter as I watched him let go of my hand and pull a little black box out of his pocket. "I guess what I'm trying to say is...Katie?" He opened the box to reveal a beautiful diamond ring that shined in the moonlight and finished his question, "Will you marry me?" I slapped a hand to my mouth to muffle an excited squeal and slipped the ring on my finger, examining it in the moonlight. "Katie?" Tail asked sounding a little concerned. Suddenly, I grabbed his shirt and pulled him up to my level, giving him a surprise smooch. He seemed a little startled at first, but then kissed me back, stroking my hair with one hand, caressing my cheek with the other. We pulled apart for a breath of air and I gave him my verbal answer; "I do."

I just had to do this! whee 4laugh This is just a story I'm doing while waiting for suggestions for my other 2 stories. It's me and Tail's (of Dorothy of Oz) wedding, from the beginning. This story has an interesting twist; It has 2 different modes: the How I'd Like It To Happen mode(seen here), and the How I Think It Would Actually Happen Mode. ...Yeah, I think I'd enjoy the former better. Oh, well. lol ENJOY!!!!
