A Thank You...If You Please Dear Thread and Elves of Gaia 2008 Secret Santa- Around a month ago, I applied to a Secret Santa thread and event for the heck of it. During the time, I was promoted to an elf, then to a High Elf. During this time, a lot has opened my eyes to the wonders of the world. I have always had a pessimistic attitude towards people, meaning I haven't wanted anything to do with them. But this group has allowed me to see the goodness in people. When the thread started to die down, a group of people (whom I suspect was nearly everyone on the thread, including me) began donating anonymously. Sometimes it was small things (goldfish drops, cocoa mugs, etc), other times they were expensives (Lunar Cloak, OMFG, Demonbow, etc), but all were felt and cherished. At the same time, friends were made. Not just with the other Elves (although I do love all of them with all my heart) but with people from the thread. Every time I got on, I recieved a great honor in having a discussion with one of the kind souls from the thread. When something was wrong, or I needed help, or I felt undeservant (which I of course do), there was always at least someone there countering my negative thoughts. Now, yes, I did have a lot of issues with complainers (sigh yes, you get recognition, too) but all was surpassed by the grandness of the great people of the thread. Within the time on the thread, I would have an issue, spill my guts to absolutely complete strangers, and recieve the kindest and most unbelievable (for me) words of encouragement I have ever received and know will forever be there too. The words given to me will stay with me forever and I will never forget what this thread has given to me. If there's anything that you ever need (I'm going to get a load of noob begging for this aren't I?) I would love to help in anyway I possibly can. I owe you all so much, and you know who you are if when I say I love you very much and I certainly owe my enjoyment, happiness, and love felt from this event to. Thank you Elves, regulars, not-so-regulars, AB's, and, yes, even you complaining noobs...for everything and don't lose that Christmas spirit. Remember, Christmas is the time for giving, and with the amount you've given, I'm going to have to give a lot in order to give you a portion back of what you've given me.
