As I wait for someone to love me,
I didn't realize that you did.
You loved me when I complained,
You loved me when I thought no one else did.
You inspired me to write more,
And you taught me to keep my head up.
I thought you were just a friend,
But you've turned into so much more.
When you told me you loved me
I didn't believe you.
Now I realize that I love you too,
. . . But it's too late.
You've found someone else to love
And I'm alone again.
As I sit here writing my tears keep coming.
I'll wait for you,
Just as you waited for me.
I love you, and I hope you still want to hear that.
