When I was still in Grade 5, we had this whole grade declamation contest for English Month. Meaning, the students will perform in front of their class a declamation piece. Then, after the Reading and Language teacher have chosen, they will anounce to the class the person who will represent the class to compete with the other representatives of the other classes. In my previous school, there were a total of 6 classes. I was in the honors' class. That's the class where the top 30 students in that grade are grouped in. I competed with the others fair and square. Our piece was entitled "the Spider and the Fly". 3 days after I presented along with the others, our teachers(Miss Tugaoen and Miss Acuna) announced our representative. And it turned out to be...-----.....-----ME! biggrin biggrin rofl blaugh surprised biggrin whee I was so happy! My mother was very proud of me too. After two weeks of practice it was time to show the other representatives what I got! I was competing with 4 boys and 1 girl. Turns out too that 2 of the boys and the girl were my friends. OOOOOOOOOH NOOOOOOO! But, I got to compete with all my might! I've got to show everyone that I have my own abilities. My sister may be "the ideal" but I have my own "ideal"... biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin heheheeh In the end, I won. I was the champion. biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin I was so proud of myself. But I wasn't proud(conceited). Most people congratulated me. Including those who say they hate me. Geezz... But... It was a great experience for me... And there'll be more of it. biggrin
