The Lady Bug
By Bairon Madrigal
Her beauty is well known,
Her wings flap with pride,
Although she has no throne,
She will always rule the sky.
Children seek her day and night,
To play, to laugh, to chase her love.
Like a prince discovering his inner might,
She boasts with confidence like a dove.
Her spots are unique,
Like no other,
So small and petite,
With that flutter.
She flies against the air,
So brave, so bold.
Her beauty, unquestionable,
As I was told.
She leaves us quick,
Without a thought.
Teasing, mocking, playing her tricks,
Never to be caught.
Where does she belong?
Where will she be loved?
Where will she live strong?
O' that lady bug!
