When Gravity Fails 8/13/08
My mind drifts never wanting to touch down,
Always escaping to places I’ve never been,
I can feel gravity pulling me together,
As my mind drifts along,
Like a car off course it crashes and hits,
Penetrating everything I’ve know to exist,
Things become unreal and turn to fantasy,
A never ending battle between what’s real and what isn’t,
I focus and let go as my world trips and falls over it’s own feet,
A deadly creation it’s power draping over me,
Like sin it devours,
But it’s power has an end,
As darkness turns to light, my world come together again,
Like a line drawn in the sand,
A place of good and evil comes to make it’s stand,
At this point I beg my mind to come back,
To connect with my body with me in control again,
But my mind forever searching for you in endless time,
Falter and fails to cross the line,
You take over my soul, ready and willing to do what’s right,
My mind sir comes to you at first sight,
With gravity taking me,
I see that there won’t be a fight between good and evil tonight,
My eyes close and my mind shuts down,
And I’m gone again but not for long,
You leave me now,
Knowing that your job is done,
But you’ll find me again,
My mind on a mission,
It’ll never back down,
I count on you to bring us both home.
