Yumi leaned forward and gently brushed his fingertips along the boy's cheek, smiling wider. They sat, staring at eachother.

Thorn watched, uncomfortably, as this went on. He could feel the heat reach his face as the two were suddenly closer. He opened his mouth, about to break the strange silence, but Yumi sighed and leaned away, looking slightly torn as he stared down at Mimim.

"We must be on our way..." He whispered, standing. About six more people appeared behind him, all of their eyes red, though some darker than others.

"Whyyy?" Mimim whined, running and wrapping his arms around Yumi as tightly as he could. Yumi chuckled, ruffled the boy's hair, and pushed him away gently as if he were barely holding on. He whined again, then perked up as a thought occured. "Can you come over, then?"

Yumi blinked, then looked up at the sky, debating. After a moment, he smiled. "Of course. As long as.." He paused, frowning. "You should go find your friend." He mumbled after glancing at another woman who stood behind him. "Danger is everywhere now..." He said, looking wistfully toward te forest.

Mimim hugged him again, closing his eyes. Yumi chuckled and hugged him back, before pushing him away, again, and smiling. "Tonight, then." He grinned, disappearing. The rest of the men and women glared at the two who stood. Another man grabbed the body off of the ground and they all disappeared.

Thorn blinked, his head spinning. Everything had just happened so fast. It took him a moment to get his head straight, and he stared at Mimim, who grinned sheepishly back. "What? Let's go! He said someone's in danger."

Thorn thought about that for a second. "He said 'friend', but Dark and Eon went out today..." He paused, staring into space. He realized how similar Dark and Yumi were - their eyes, the way they spoke so calmly, sudden mood changes, and speed... Thorn gasped sharply before heading toward the forest, running. Mimim was right beside him. "What??"

"He said friend, meaning one person." Thorn panted, avoiding branches and leaves as best as he could. "Dark's been acting strange, so I thought about it. She's just like Yumi!"

"A vampire?"

"What!?"

"Yumi's a vampire! So Dark is too?" He grinned, keeping pace with Thorn very easily.

"Oh, god. I didn't know that." Thorn whined, realizing how obvious it was.

"Wow, you're an idiot." Mimim said in a tone like Zeno's. Thorn shuddered.

"I guess that kinda changes things." He said, gasping for air. They were deep in the forest now.
