The War on Terror is still raging, and for those of you who live in the countries involved, I'm sure you know how I feel. Even if you don't, I hope you can try to understand.
We never should have entered Iraq in the first place, but thanks to our idiot president, we did. Now more than ever I wish we could pull the plug and bring back the troops that long for their homes. I know how they feel, my cousin being one of the soldiers who escaped from the army. I love my cousin dearly, but he has never been the same young man that used to pick me up and throw me on the bed, laughing and tickling me all the while. He has never been the same ever since his comrades' tent was bombed, and he barely escaped alive, although shrapnel was left embedded in his skull. He no longer wrestles with me or laughs the same way he used to. And I miss what he once was.
I understand that we can't just leave Iraq, but I know we should. Wasn't it in far-way 2003, five whole years ago, that George Bush stepped off his private jet, smiled, gave the cameras two thumbs-up, and said, "Mission accomplished!"? I don't think we've accomplished anything in Iraq. 2001, seven years of misery, destruction, death, and poverty. We must stop it, at all costs.

School, friends, the world, maybe a poem or two. Basically, my day-to-day life or my outlook on life.
