So this is a double journal day.
Whoa, right!
Okay, buttmonkey got his name because, well you can train a monkey but they ain't too smart...and he's a pain in the butt. XD
So, buttmonkey has always hated Microsoft. I think he's just jealous because they're really successful. Whatever, he hates them.
Everyone in the office uses Outlook. Buttmonkey hates outlook. He doesn't know how to use it, AND it's from Microsoft, therefore it's EEEEEEVIIIIL (dun dun duuuun)
Well today he "officially" "banned" Outlook from the office. rofl rofl rofl He thinks it's causing network problems. I'm sorry, let me do this again rofl rofl rofl
Ahhh, yes. The stupidity of the stupid. The ignorance of the ignorant. Shame he's in charge.
He now demands that everyone use his cheeseball email program called Eudora. Uh...sure... rofl rofl rofl
I love seeing people make mountains out of grains of sand.
Oh, that reminds me, when I first started here they never had anyone do anyting with the network. So it was slow and messy and didn't work most of the time. I was hired to fix it - so I did, and stupidly tried to explain why some things weren't necessary...like NETBEUI...a Microsoft implementation of NetBIOS (a protocol).
Buttmonkey latched onto the term NetBEUI and refused to let go.
He couldn't print?
Him: NetBeui! It MUST be NetBeui!
Me: Uh, no it's been uninstalled for (days, months, years) now.
Him: Well someone must have reinstalled it, go check EVERY computer and make sure it's not anywhere.
Me: *sigh*
--an hour later--
Me: Nope, no NetBEUI
Now repeat that over and over again for EVERY single problem he had with everything spanning about two years.
Outlook has never had problems. But about once every two months or so I have to go screw around with his Eudora because it's hosed. rolleyes
As you can probably guess, the problem is almost always user error.
Of course.
