Part 1
Early in the morning in the land of demons the human's city was beginning to arise, while the city of demons were going to rest. The bright morning sun peeked over the chapel in the distance. Everyone at demon hunter academy began to prepare for today. "So what do you think the class is going to be like today Sandina?" Chikaru asked as she checked her bottles of spitfire.
"Don't you remember? The new simulator is going to be used today! I'm so excited to see our levels. Last time we were able to knock our ten mummies. Hopefully this time we'll battle something harder like werewolves or even vampires."
"I think you're crazy for wanting to go up against vampires all the time."
"Yeah, but I’m still excited" Sandina jumps down from off her bed and grabs her bow and arrows. *knock, knock, knock*
"Come on guys! Get up! We're going to be late" Kitko said banging on the door.
"We're coming." Chikaru said opening the door. Sandina brushes by Chikaru.
"Last one there is a rotten egg!" The girls race through the human city to the demon academy. After hours of boring classes they got into the sixth period to begin the simulation battles.
"Chikaru, Kitko, Sandina. You three are first in the simulators." The teacher said with snobbery. "Maybe you sorry excuses for hunters will make something of yourselves this month." He said turning on the machine.
The three girls jumped into the room and waited for the simulation to begin. "That jerk. Let's show him that we're ten times stronger than what we were last month." Sandina said. The simulation turned on and they we're surrounded by 5 mummies, 4 werewolves, and 1 blob monster.
"I call battling the werewolves." Chikaru said.
"I call taking on the blob" Kitko said.
"AW man... I got the mummies?" Sandina said with a chuckle. Kitko sliced the blob in half with her arm and it wrapped around her. "Dang it. Kitko lost. She got kicked out of the simulator. Looks like it's just you and me."
Chikaru sliced the werewolves in half and stood with the sword on her back. "That was way too easy." Sandina had the mummies unwrapped in seconds. "Nice job."
"Thanks. A little bored of fighting these weak monsters."
"You girls can go home now. The results will be on in the morning." the teacher said shoving the boys into the simulators.
"We showed that teacher. Oh ya." Sandina said.
"I can't wait until I graduate and take down Kula. That jerk deserves to have a silver bullet in her heart." Chikaru said.
"Sheesh, ever since she went and transformed its like you hate the girl on all levels."
"Hey, wait up!" Kitko said running up to Chikaru and Sandina. "I'm sorry for not being able to handle the blob. It's just I’m not the fighting type. I'm a researcher."
"Oh, I've been meaning to ask about that. Can I have some of those light bombs you created last week? It never hurts to have them around." Sandina asked.
"Sure, I do not mind. They're new and improved. let's just hope they work." Kitko said reaching into her pocket and pulling out a golden glass ball.
"Hey Chikaru, Sandina, Kitko!" Three boys came up to the girls. "I see you three aren't even on vampires yet. You can never beat them."
"Shut it Johnathan. Chikaru, Kitko and I are way stronger than you and you know it. Its just because Mr. Shujo has trouble accepting huntresses at the academy that he's not giving us harder stuff."
"Oh, then are you willing to make a bet?" Kosho asked.
"We'll take any bet." Sandina said clenching her fist.
"Fine, you girls have to go across the canyon, into the demon city, and go to the cavern on their side and get the wall flowers that grow in the cave." Jonathan said.
"I'll take that bet."
"I'm not. Do you even know what kind of monsters are in that area? They're blobs, sewer creatures, mummies, giant spiders, vampires, werewolves and tons of other creatures yet to be fought against." Kitko said.
"I'll do it anyway. I'm not afraid, but if we win you have to convince the teacher to have us battle harder monsters and you have to admit we we're stronger."
"Fine, go tonight when the sun goes down. Night of the full moon is the best time to go." Kosho said. The boys left roaring with laughter.
"Those jerks. We'll show them that we can do it. We'll get that stupid flower and then they have to admit that we're the stronger ones." Sandina said.
"Sandina, I know this is important to you and all, but don't you think that it’s a bit dangerous even for the both of us?"
"Yeah, but how are we suppose to become stronger unless we keep pushing ourselves to the limit?"
"You two can leave me out of this." Kitko said going into a shoe store.
"Then tonight... tonight is when we finally gain the respect we deserve." Sandina said.
"I'm with ya all the way. Just in a few more hours we'll show them. But I still think this is nuts." Chikaru laughed.
Part 2
Chikaru and Sandina went back to their dorm to prepare for the journey for the night. "Sandina, this is going to be our first time battling the people in real life. We've met monsters before but never really fought them."
"Well yeah, I know. I just really need to prove to them that girls can be just as great hunters as guys are. That's why." Sandina pulls open a brown drawer and takes out a small black box. "I'm going to take my best weapon."
"Are you crazy?! Those are you're lightning gloves!"
"yeah, once they attach to my hands they give me the power to control lightning and create electrical currents, and it also enhances the electrons in my body so I can use the power within them. If we run into trouble, these might come in handy."
"Cut Sandina, if you start using those gloves against you won't have a choice on taking them off. They'll be stuck on you again for another year!"
"I'm willing to take that chance Chikaru. I know that they're dangerous and only are as strong as I am, but it makes a huge difference if I'm able to combine the energy with my own to finish this bet."
"You're willing to handle that deadly power for a year just to prove our teacher wrong?"
Sandina slips on the black gloves and they begin to spark. "i cut holes this time so I can use my fingers like I use to. And from the sparks I'm fully charged." Sandina laughed.
"I still think this and you are nuts." *knock, knock* "Who do you think that is?"
"I'll check." Sandina opened the door. "Kitko? What are you doing here?"
"I want you guys to have some of the inventions and stuff so you can handle yourselves better when you have to go through the demon city." Kitko took the giant bag on her back and slammed it on Chikaru's bed. "Ok, now, Chikaru, this is your sword." Kitko tossed the sword in the air and Chikaru caught it. "It’s made of steel and silver. Best use against werewolves and it is completely fire resistant. Which is your second gift. Two brand new bottle of spit fire."
"Sandina, you're bows are useless unless we equip them with holy water dipped tips. And here are your knives. They’re made out of the same components of Chikaru's blade. Chikaru, Sandina, I managed to make you both 4 light bombs each. They're strong, but they can block the demons off in case you have trouble. Also, Chikaru, along with your spit fire, I'm giving you ice gum."
"Ice gum?" Chikaru looked at Sandina and Sandina shrugged her shoulders.
"It’s my newest creation. Ice gum will give you the power to blow ice to 5 feet away. The ice is so powerful that it will freeze your opponent for eight days. Also, it gives you minty fresh breath." Kitko saw the gloves on Sandina's hands. "NO! You have the gloves on?! You know how dangerous they are!"
"Thanks for the gifts Kitko." Sandina said putting the knives in the holsters on her ankles. "But it doesn't matter. Desperate times cause for desperate measures." The girls packed their gear and walked to the edge of the humans’ city. The sun was slowly setting and they could see that some of the demons across the bridge we're stirring.
"Please guys. I beg you to reconsider. This is stupid." Kitko pleaded.
"I know its crazy but it's worth it. Besides, Chikaru is the more rational one out of both of us, so once it's getting hard for us she'll be able to tell and she'll tell me that we need to pull back."
"Yeah but you probably won't listen." Chikaru said. Sandina smiled and shrugged her shoulders.
"Good luck guys. And promise me that you'll come back alive!"
"We promise." Chikaru and Sandina said.
Chikaru and Sandina took one step on the bridge and immediately the demons could sense their presence. "That's strange. It seems as we got some humans crossing the bridge." A werewolf said as he sniffed the air.
"Its probably one of their stupid dares those humans always take. The ones who make it to this side of the bridge and back usually win something." a mummy said rewrapping his leg.
"What do you say to having some fun with the humans? Maybe we'll get lucky and we can eat them later." a blob gurgled.
"I agree. From the smell, it's just two girls."
"Then what are we waiting for. Let’s go" The mummy said tucking the bandages. The monster began to run towards the bridge.
"This feels weird Sandina. We're already on the other side of the bridge and there hasn't been a monster anywhere in sight." Chikaru said grabbing the handle of her sword.
"Don't freak Chikaru. I told you this would be easy. Besides, we just need to head down this main road and we can get to that cave where the wall flowers grow."
"What do wall flowers look like anyway?"
"They're purple vines with long red flowers. It is said that they are an excellent spice." The werewolf, blob and mummy stood on the middle of the dark empty street blocking Chikaru and Sandina's path. "Looks like the welcoming party finally showed up."
"You are a little far from your city aren't you little humans." the blob gurgled.
"Chikaru, rock, paper, scissors to see who is the lucky one to fight them." Chikaru nodded and Sandina and her played rock paper scissors. Sandina won with rock. "HA! I win." Sandina stepped forward. "Which one you monsters are going to go down first?"
"you're dead human!" All three of the monster jumped at Sandina at once. Sandina spun around and kicked them into a building. The three monsters we're knocked out. "That stunk. I was hoping for a better fight than that."
A sewer creature tapped Chikaru on the shoulder. Chikaru grabbed the mold on its arm and threw it to the other monsters against the building.
"Sandina, I think we went into the wrong city. The head master said this was one of the most dangerous cities in this country and yet we've been able to take out four monsters in less than a minute."
"Yeah, but it happens that way I guess. Let's keep moving." Sandina said stretching. Chikaru and Sandina walked all the way to the edge of the city. "Did we take a wrong turn? There's a forest here, not a cave."
"no Sandina, we're going the right way. We have to go fifty kilometers south and then ten kilometers west to reach the cave."
"Wow... that isn't far at all." Sandina said. The girls walked into the forest and when they reached a clearing they heard a loud crack. "What was that?"
"Sounded like a branch breaking."
"Yeah, but what did it?" A pack of 10 werewolves jumped out of the bushes in front of them. "Well.... now we know. KULA?!"
"Well if it isn't my old school mates Chikaru and Sandina. Come to join me as well?"
"You lying witch. I've been waiting to kill you for years." Chikaru yanked her sword from its sheath. "Sandina I want to take these werewolves on."
"Fine," Sandina leaned against a tree. "Call me if you need me."
Chikaru jumped into the pack of werewolves and slashed two of them in half. "Two down. Eight to go." Kula stepped back and watched Chikaru as she fought the rest of the pack. A werewolf grabbed Chikaru and slammed her down against the ground and then threw her against a tree. "Ouch." Chikaru stood up and felt her right arm.
"Chikaru? Are you alright?" Sandina asked as she reached for her arrows.
"I think my right arm may be broken, but I can handle it." Kula roared with laughter. "Shut up you filthy mutt!"
"It’s just hilarious to see you foolish little girl think you can handle us. Werewolves are the new power that will control this world. We're stronger than any vampire!" Black shadow flew over the clearing. "Not now. Not when we're so close to killing them ourselves!"
Chikaru gulped down a full bottle of spit fire and blew it all over her sword and all around her body. The werewolves couldn't take the heat. "Now to show you a new trick of my own." Chikaru took up her flaming sword and raced towards Kula. "Now I'm going to take you apart!" The werewolves slashed at Chikaru, but she was too fast. Chikaru jumped into the tree and shot out of it like a gun slicing ever werewolf in her path. Now only Kula and she remained. "You’re mine!"
"You pathetic humans! You have no idea what our powers are capable of." Chikaru jumped at Kula and sliced the sword down Kula's arm. Kula howled in agony as the blood dripped down her arm.
"Take her out Chikaru!" Sandina shouted. The strange black shadow flew over again. "What in the heck is going on? Is it a vampire?"
Kula kicked Chikaru into a boulder and rapidly punched away at her. Sandina ran towards the brawl, but someone stepped in front of her. The dark shadowy figure shook his finger slowly back and forth. "Get outta my way!" Sandina shot an arrow at the creature, but it disappeared. "What can move that fast?" The demon grabbed Sandina from behind. It covered her mouth and Sandina was fighting as hard as she could to escape its grasp.
