I saw the commercial above and it was good. The problem is that I like other soldiers I work with do not know what to say in a situation where we are being thanked. I think this is because like the others I didn't join for applause or praise I joined for my own reasons. In my case the reason was to keep my family safe. I've seen the horrors of war and the mental scars they leave behind not only on the victims (The innocent people who by no small chance of fate happen to live inside of the battle grounds) but also of its heroes (The men and women who where our uniform and fight for our country). This is the thoughts that do not allow me to sleep well at night. Below I posted two links to different images that are (much to my dismay) burned into my mind.
