I recently had something happen that caused me to consider my legacy.
The word legacy has many definitions but the one I'm referring to is not a "traditional" definition. The definition I'm using is in reference to the way a person lives there life. I originally considered this definition when I heard the song Legacy by Nichole Nordeman she talks about people remembering her for her actions. This thought was further enforced by the words the outgoing commander at my reserve unit told us.
This got me thinking about what life is. I remembered reading in a philosophy book that life has certain undeniable truths " With Joy comes sorrow, With pleasure comes pain, these alone are the existence of life in its purest form". Upon considering all these things I've made one important decision.
I want to live a life where many generations following my death I'm remembered for the kind of person I was and that the values I thought my child will be the will still be thought to the generation at that time with the same importance that it has to me today.
I want to leave a Legacy of truth pointing to the ONE True and Most Awesome GOD and to his son Jesus Christ the savior of the world.
