He danced on the brink of insanity, his wings useless at his back, but a simple grin ghosted his lips as he went along. The night was young, the moon full, yet he seemed unaware of the simplicity of it all. He was trapped in a world unlike anyone else’s. A world in which he was dieing everyday.
The longing of the night allured him to the edge of all that he knew and the questions of the unknown. Wind whipped at his hair and jacket as he stared out over the ledge of the building, the ground so very far below. The city was alive and bubbly far below, the people lost in their own world as well, but it was on of false. One that he never wanted to live.
He longed for freedom.
Stepping lightly onto the ledge, he began to dance lightly. Twirling and spinning, swishing around with arms spread wide on either side. Dancing to a song no human would ever hear. His eyes flashed violet in the moon’s silver streams of light, the eyes of an angel.
The eyes of a psychopath.
With light steps, he twirled around, his back to open air, and smiled and he leaned back. His wings spread open behind him, their length breathtaking and full, but lifeless and limp. They would never sustain him, bring him to flight.
He dropped, plunging from the darkness and silence into the wild life of the people. No one ever saw it coming. To them, they thought it suicide of such a perfect creature, but to the mind of Jisatsu Ketsueki, he was free.
In his mind, he was flying…
