Hello, all. I know it has taken me a while, but I finally have something to post! It's a poem I wrote a while back, and I found it today while going through some of my old junk. It's a little emo (' emo '), so don't read this if you've had a recent breakup or if you're feeling depressed (cause quite honestly, i don't wanna check my account one day and find out that my poem is causing anyone greif) So, anyway, I hope you enjoy my poem, Be With You.
Be With You
There is a fire blazing in my heart
My brain tells me I must get away
It tells me you will tear me apart
But then my heart tells me to stay
The heat in my heart glows with such light
That it outshines the sun in the day
But each and every time we fight
That burning fire fades away
When my light fades it gets so cold
That my skin turns a shade of blue
Yet I go against everything I'm told
And say "I just want to be with you"
You say that there is someone new
And that we can never be
I don't want your words to be true
But I know that you are leaving me
In my dreams you hold me in your embreace
You fill me with your limitless light
As I look into your shining face
But as you know, they say that dreams are never right
And though you may be leaving me now
Inside, I can still see your light
