I promise
You don't have to love me
In order for me to love you

It's...different
Different from the way I claimed to have loved before
And different from my attachment to my family
You hold me closer than any companion has before
But far enough so that I know that
I knew you weren't meant to be what people label as
"The one"
But I find myself wanting
More
I wonder what your kiss would feel like
When you hug me
I want to hold you longer and tighter
I know
I'm wrong
But no one has been as close to me as you are
Am I too eager
Or...Am I really supposed to be with you?
I can only smile at these thoughts
Because regardless, I keep my promises
And I will always love you
