The Merger
Two women who have transported their businesses to another level now have to compete for the same job as their companies merge. Their rivalry spills into their personal lives as they try to undermine each other for their positions: because one will have to be subordinate to the other eventually.
Detectives
Two specialists that have a poor track record of synergy must work together to catch a killer, unravel a cold case, find a victim of something or other. The plot will get more interesting once the case is closed, but the detectives find a much larger project to work on.
Masquerade
This could involve cross-dressing.
Whenever you have droves of people coming together, disaster is right around the corner. Who you see is not who you know them to be, and - in the end - someone is either spurned or dead.
In a place where appearance are everything in a moment in which those visages can be hidden, what horrors can ensue? Poisoned punch? Murdered mistresses? Fraud exposed?
You'd be surprised how often we mistake a snarl for a smile.
- include inviting the supernatural as avant-garde
WWII - Rosie the Riveter
This is a time when women were encouraged to work for the sake of their country while most able-bodied men were drafted in the war.
When women can make their own money, come and go as they please, and be surrounded by other women of that same independence for the first time, what can happen?
Do they try to start a utopia?
Do lives merge in ways that wouldn't happen before?
