The twin dragons surged through the waters, cooling the water to a near freezing point making it harder for the heroes to move. Issac reacted immediately, lashing out his arm to launch a thunderbolt into one of the dragons, reducing it to mere Ice shards. "Protego!", murmured Emrys as he created a translucent, ethereal shield to protect him from the oncoming assaults from the last dragon. Furiously, it struck unable to deal damage to it's prey, and eventually was reduced to nothing more than a motionless ice sculpture. Thetis was enraged. She prepared to send forth another wave of ice dragons before some thing sliced through her. Something hot, and sizzling, and of ethereal being, She gasped, unable to say anything. "Sorry...", said Emrys, sadly. "But for the sake of this world I must terminate you." He left, leaving her to blow up like the ones before her (Except Seraph, of course, he's not dead yet).
"I'm sorry.", said Mia. "Did you know her?"
"No,", he replied. "But she seemed sad, deep in her soul."
"How sad...but then again, so is everything about your pitiful life."
They turned to see who spoke behind them. They saw a lone figure that stood beside the Crystal Fragment. It was the man who stood by Albert's side the last time they had met. "Step away from the fragment.", demanded Issac. "Or suffer the consequences."
"Heh heh heh... GYAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Like you fools could even touch me, one of the Master's greatest creations, with your pitiful weapons!", he sneered.
"Creations?", started Mia. "You're not human?"
"No..", he said sliding away one of his pointed bangs from his view. "I am a Homunculus, as are the other 11 Fragment Hunters. I am Prometheus."
"Homuncu--what?!", asked Kaos scratching his head in confusion. "Would some one please explain to me what they are again?"
"Homunculus are artificially-created humans via alchemy.", explained Emrys. "Alchemists were banned from making any more of these since it was deemed an act against nature."
"Pretty smart...", said Prometheus. "For a scum of the human race!"
"Why you--", started Grey as he began to draw his Ninjato. In response, Prometheus drew his own Scythe that hung comfortably on his back.
"Ah ah ah...", he said. "I'm not here to kill you just yet. I'm just here for the fragment. I'll have fun ripping your limbs out later! You can be sure of that!"
He placed his hands on the smooth surface of the fragment and vanished with it.
"Damn!", Exclaimed Kaos. "We lost another one!"
"Don't worry.", said Grey. "There are still 5 more out there. If we can destroy at least one, that'll put a c***k in their plans."
"Thats putting a smile on things!", said Mia cheerfully. "Lets get back to the surface and rest up."
"Agreed." said Issac.
