My friend told me to write a poem. I don't know if she'll like it but I hope she does.
You seem to have met someone
Perfect
His appearance is more than pleasing
He uses his mind
No one lacks flaws
You know this now
You see him and wonder why he doesn't look at you
You are a grande master of manipulation of the mind
Maybe he is as well
His perfections seem to have clouded his flaws
But still, should you ever get close enough
To see through the clouds
You know you may regret it
You keep your distance
Yet he still catches your eye
What are you to do
When the perfections of one
Seem so captivating at one moment
And the other
Not enough
My answer:
Allow time to erode whatever you may feel
You don't know him
And by the lack of eye contact
He doesn't care to know you either
Perfection isn't looked for
It's . . just found.
