My uncle Lou came into town last week. He needed the rest, to be honest. He needed to be away from all the pricks and assholes of Rhode Island. Especially from Providence.
I now have no reason to go back there anymore. My family is shattered, my aunts, uncles and cousins have all fallen through the cracks of their own stupidity (well, not all of them. Most of them have) and the town I haven't seen in two years with the exception of passing through it when I was there for my auntie Dee's 50th b-day has gone to hell.
I just don't get it with them. Like WC (pronounced Dub-Cee) asked in one of his songs, "Damn Loc, where did the love go?"
Where did it go, indeed?
Where did the family that so tightly knit go to? Straight into the very arms of hell. Of their own personal ones, anyway.
When the words "******** You" replace the words "I Love You" in my family?
Or better yet, why is everyone saying it to each other? I just don't get it.
They've all changed... And for what? I still don't get it....
Anyway, I came down with something today. It started with a real scratchy throat which somehow progressed into a posible sinus infection. Don't ask me how I know, 'cuz I do. It's really starting to mess with me. I didn't go do my ushering duties as a result of that.
That, and when one of my teachers gave me something to at least try to make me feel better, it wound up nearly zoning me out! I damn near passed out! Although what she said wasn't supposed to worked to make me sleep, it somehow made me drowsy like you wouldn't believe. It sucked!
As for how I am now, I'm doing OK for the time being. I still feel like crap though.
Well, love to say and chat, but unfortunately, I gotta get some sleep. I'll tell you all how my day went to... today. Right, I forgot it's half-past midnight!
