Looking back in the journal I've kept on Gaia for about three years, I can honestly say that I agree with everything I've written.
There were definitely some angry things I've said over the course of those three years. But, there were also some good things I've said as well.
But, I can honestly say that now that I think about it, it seems like it's nothing new. Besides, everyone here has got an opinion about things. Even me.
Anyway, things really took a nose dive at the start of the new year. For starters, my mother was working for this telemarketing company only to get canned becuase she showed up seven minutes late. No thanks to that dickwad (who shall remain nameless) repossessing the GMC Jimmy.
It only got worse after that.
During one night, when I was watching TV, Ma calls me up and tells me it's an emergency. Immediately, I bolt out of the house like a streak o' lightning hit me in the a**.
When I got there, ma looked like she walked from Chicago to Venezula to compete in a jerk-off competition in the summer heat. And by that, I mean she was drenched in sweat.
Normally, women don't sweat like that, right?
Anyways, she was in the bathroom when I came in and asked me to get a shirt out of the bedroom closet. I would do so and gave it to her through the bathroom. Her response was that I accidentally grabbed one of Paul's shirts.
All in all, ya wanna know what happened? She was having a ******** heart attack right in front of me! And she wanted me to go with Paul to pick up the kids?!
If you were me, you would reach for the phone and punch in 911! ******** going anywhere to pick up anyone!
However, my mother (being the pain in the a** that she is) said she didn't want to go because she didn't have any insurance.
Now, in the case of money and life, if you were in a dire emergency, what would you choose? Like if you accidentally cut a finger off, for example?
Naturally, you would choose your life.
That was the case with my mother after trying to get it through that thick skull of hers.
Now I know my brother and my mother are related.
Anyways, the bad news. Her doctor told after after they patched her up that she wouldn't make it through another of those heart attacks.
What that also means is that she wouldn't be around for grandkids.
Imagine how I felt when ma sat me down and had that talk.
But besides that, ma and I have been away from home for (get this) six years now.
Six ******** years... Funny what time does to someone, eh?
Six years since I've been away from that shithole in the floor square mile city. But, it'll also be a year since I've been away from Lawrence.
It's really weird when you think about how time changes you. How it does things to you that you really wouldn't see coming. More importantly, time does things to you that makes you think about the road ahead. Even moreso, it makes you think about what you'll be in years to come.
I think I'm beginning to understand the way this life is telling me things... That I still got quite a ways to go before my time is up.
And ya know what? I'm looking forward to it.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
