Zero-to-One

Its nights like these
Where I’m all alone
That gets thoughts in my head
That I want to leave home
Pack all my things
Crossing all the streets
Find a temporary home
A place to rest my feet

I’ll be off once again
When daylight breaks
Hear the cars passing by
Listen to the people speak
They speak of the days
When their lives were rough
The days were tough
How they were all just fed up

I’d be to far from home
To far to turn back
But these words start reactions
And my body reacts
My heart says keep going
My brain says go home
My soul is inactive
I don’t know where to go

I’d notice the people
They way they see me
I’m just a kid on the streets
Who's "smart by rebelling"
They wouldn’t even ponder
Why a kid would run away
Maybe they did
Day after day

They don’t see the rebel
They’d see what he’s done
They’d let him pass by
I’m problem zero to one
Maybe one day
This writing comes true
You’ll read what I’ve done
And not care what I do
