Am I the only one who's ever wondered why life is such a paradox? Even as a teen, I know and have learned to accept to a certain extent that time stops for no one, but rather quite the opposite. It enjoys it's power over us, speeding things up when you are content and wish for things to last, slowing things down when all you want is for the day to end, the week to end, your misery to end. I have a theory that all of the things that are major factors in our lives and environment...our emotions, are not but one single thing. Time, love, pain, irony, misery, happiness, it's all the same thing, all emotions rendered uncontrollable, and yet we ourselves MAKE THEM. What is tragic to one is glorious to another, it's all in our heads. In other words, where time is slow for someone, it is just fast enough for another. Where love is fulfilling for one, it could be empty for another, all of these things are inevitably the same thing, triggering all too familiar emotions. I know, I know, with love, comes pain, with smiles, come tears, it's a natural process. In fact, there would be no happy without sad, because otherwise it would be mundane.
I guess the point of this pointless rant is that I'm stuck in a state of uncommon melancholy. Hurting people is impossible to avoid, but nevertheless, one time flying was impossible, the internet was impossible, going riding on a roller coaster, sailing the seas...I just wish deeply and purely wish I could make everyone happy. People make mistakes, that's what makes them human. If you didn't care for a person, their mistakes wouldn't hurt. You hurt those you care about and visa versa...but I just wish that somehow it would work, to where I could make everyone happy and yet still remain the spontaneous, ignorant, fun-loving, mistake prone human I am.
