While en route back to Utopia Planitia for much needed repairs and resupply, Starfleet issued a reconnaissance mission for the Enterprise which entails a preliminary search and excavation of fossils of an ancient frost rabbit species once thrived on the planetoid Pluto. So far, Starfleet scientists have only collected a handful of fossil eggs belonging to this species. The timing and decision of this expedition is irregular, but it should only delay our maintenance by two days.
