Keris Mardok: Yama's female character |

So I've had several male characters throughout the years: Locke, Isaac, Cyrus, Yukito, etc. But I rarely make female characters. Which is funny, because that's all I play in many video games. I have no idea what's up with that. But I have one female character that I will play from time to time: Keris Mardok.
Originally, I made the character for an online Play-byPost D&D campaign. While the game really never got off the ground (like many from my own forums back then), the character kinda stuck. She was called Keris "Fade" Mardok. I wanted a good shadowy nickname, so Fade was what I came up with. Keris is the more interesting part of the name, however. When I came up with that drawing, my wife (then girlfriend) saw the drawing, and I asked for name ideas. She named the character after herself, Chris. However, that wouldn't do for a fantasy character in my book, so I pondered for a few days. Remembered that there was a type of dagger called the Kris dagger, a cerimonial wavy bladed knife. It looks stupid, but it was something. So I hit up Wiki and looked into the knife, and found out there was a alternate spelling: keris. Thus the name. Mardok came from Sealab 2021, the Stimutax episode.
In the first iteration of the character, Keris was a Lurk - a psionic rogue with mind tricks. Or as everyone else kept saying -a jedi assassin. Whatever. Later versions were similiar, but more magic and less psionic. However, there has been a handful of major diverances.
During my early days of discovering Pathfinder, I created the magus version of Keris. Oddly enough, this has led to her main build, rogue 4 (scout/counterfeit mage archetypes) / magus 4 (greensting slayer/beastbound archetypes) / arcane trickster 1+. Weapon of choice is a scimitar with a high dex/int stat build.
The odd build, which really isn't Keris, but used the name is my most recent: the half-dragon alchemist. I found a great image for her, which I photoshoped in freckles (because freckles are hot). While the RP is dead already, the few posts I did get in were fun. Made the girl very expressionate, unlike many of my other characters. Also a good kick back to my polearm days. I'll have to use this version again sometime.
Come back next time, when I rant about another character!
