Ramblings of a Musician
One The hardest part is getting started. Continuing is easy, because you’ve got a good base to build off of. But…creating that base is difficult. People say, “The key to success is taking the first step”, and they’re right, except for one little word. Success. I’m sick of that one word. What happened to happiness, love, and friendship? What the world has developed into is far from what we want, but, really, who can we blame but ourselves? We’ve all succumbed to an intense state of paranoia, fearing that we won’t be successful. In fact, I would rather be a happy and loved beggar than an accomplished and lonely millionaire. The first step is not graduating from college, having a loaded wallet, or even finding a cure for cancer if you’re not happy. No, that first step is finding out what you’re living for, even if your expectations are not high. Knowing what you want out of life is far more valuable than the Ferrari in your mile long driveway.
