Specifically, the idiot's opinion.
My mother has decided to "boycott" the show Zoey 101, because the star, Jamie Lynn Spears (sister to the very famous Britney Spears), is pregnant at 16. My distinct thoughts when hearing this were "What. The. Hell." This isn't because I'm a particular fan of the show. I'm not too fond of T.V. in general. In my opinion, Jamie Lynn actually isn't that great of an actress. My issue with this is the idiocy in which this "boycott" was conceived.
I admit, I have seen the show a few times. My sister is a fan, and it isn't a terrible show. This show, including the "new" episode my sister and I were watching when my mother declared this, does not advocate teen pregnancy. The entire fourth season was filmed before she got pregnant. There will not be a fifth, because of the pregnancy/birth/child-rearing.
Now, from my end, Nickelodeon has been pretty sensible in their handling of this situation. Jamie Lynn made a mistake, as teenagers commonly do. She isn't the first teenager to get pregnant, nor is she the last. At my high school, there are probably more pregnant teenagers than in show biz right now. The main shock is the close-mindedness of some people.
So, anyone in support of my mother's opinion, please enlighten me on your thought processes. I don't want to be accused of closed mindedness, and I don't believe I am. I will see things from your perspective. One question, though: Why is teen pregnancy suddenly an issue only when a 16-year-old (which is the consentual age in many countries, in most third-world countries it is as low as 10) star becomes pregnant? I know a girl due in February. My best friend has had 4 pregnancy scares, and due to her weak constitution, she wouldn't be able to take child-birth or a miscarraige, and abortion would mess with her current prescribed drugs, probably also resulting in death. Isn't that a bit more severe than one star making one mistake?

hahaaa, I feel like a dork. Or, maybe just a teenager. I'm supposed to be one of those, nohow.
Today, I've felt attracted to nearly every guy I was remotely close to today. Not sexually (of course, I'm pretty chaste, no to mention asexual) but more of a "I wonder if this guy was my boyfriend.." kind of way. Yeah, it's probably a teenager thing. ((hahaaaa, I almost typed "thong" xDD))
By the way, in case anyone reading hadn't noticed, I'm going to be using this for random blurbs and more random inspirations. I might even put a poem or two on here. Probably my "haet pome." lulz This may also be offensive to some. My random blurbs may contain much more information than you would have wanted. Well, they're my blurbs. I'll do with them what I want.

So, I've decided to start actually using this, probably as some sort of ramble-exhauster. I love to ramble, by the way, because some knowledge can only be known through such antics, methinks. Well, that just sounds terribly, naiive, but...ah, well.
First topic, I guess, for my rambling will be...Sweeney Todd, lol. I love the movie, actually. Previously, I had done a "Hundered Years of Broadway" deal around 2005, and it had a track (one that was omitted from the movie) included in the medley. I had enjoyed that bit, and wasn't disappointed when I saw the movie. I see where people are coming from when they say it's a bit gruesome, but I love the blood. It's so obviously fake, but...pretty funny. The whole thing was generally enjoyable, mostly hearing Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman sing (and not too badly) was worth going to see it. Well, there's my movie review...I guess. The idea behind it was ultimately enjoyable (though slightly immoral) and it wasn't the type of movie that gives you nightmares...Now, "I Am Legend," that one was...creepy, to say the least.
((I feel more human already, I think perhaps I'll continue this rambling gig, feel free to post suggestions for my next subject, y'know, iff'n anybody reads this.))
