I decided it was about time I did a new entry, since all of my others are at least a year old. Today's topic is: abortion.
Abortion. This issue is very polarized, with large groups of people arguing intensely from both ends.
My personal opinion? Though I'd like to think that I would never get one and find it a bit grotesque, I firmly believe that it is the personal choice of the woman who is pregnant. I don't think it is my place to tell someone that they have to suffer through pregnancy and childbirth when there is an alternative just because I have personal qualms with it.
As far as it being "murder," I heartily disagree. While the fetus is still within the womb, it is completely dependent on the mother and therefore I consider it more of an appendage of the woman than a life form. It is practically a parasite, leeching away from the mother's nutrients and strength, and I think that the woman has the right to choose to remove said parasite if she so chooses. The only time I would consider abortion even remotely murderous is perhaps partial-birth abortion, since the baby is already being birthed anyway.
I am pro-choice, and I think everyone should be, because whether or not YOU want an abortion, you should recognize that not everyone feels the same way you do and you should acknowledge that the choice is theirs, not yours.

PLEASE COMMENT, there's nothing I love more than a good ol' debate. I'm sorry if you commented on any previous entries but I never received notification of any of them, so I'll be looking for them now.
