I've come so far in these past few years. I remember, from 7th-10th grade, I was the kid who sat in the back of the class, kept to myself, never talked unless I had to; I had like 3 friends, two of which went to my school. All I cared about was the bad stuff, I had no gf, didn't have enough friends, got bad grades, never talked to my mom on friendly terms, etc. I cut myself for the first time when i was 7, then stoped, and did it again through out 9th grade. Looking back on how much I hated my life, all the suicidal thoughts I had but never came close to doing, always thought of running away, how concernd and focused on the bad things I was, it makes me feel good, to compare my life of now and then. I've got who knows how many friends..co-president of the "pep club" at my school, having almost to much fun. Usually, I just feel..like I can't gain anymore, I'm happy, even when I want to be sad about something, I can't, inside and out I'm frickin happy now! But I HATE, for anyone, to feel how I did, but I can see all the pain and all of the suffering right infront of my eyes, and I do as much as I can to help those people, but its not much..if you want to stop being depressed with your life, this is how I acheived it
1) do NOT give a *@#$ what ANYONE, thinks, all that matters, is how you feel
2) Reach out, you don't have friends, because you draw away to much, and the only way you make new ones right now is by cards randomly playing into your hand, take charge, you can have the whole deck if you want it, even more than just 1 deck, just say hi
3) Be apathetic, stop caring so much, and its harder to get hurt
4) But take pride in the good things
5) Its hard to think of things to say when you've spent so many years w/o a voice, just join the convo, example: if someone is talking about a movie, agree that its good with them, or if you havn't seen it, ask them to describe it to you, etc.
6) Join clubs at school, that is probably what kick started me, someone asked me to join the pep club leadership team thing, I did, because everyone else invited did it (about 10 of us) that is honestly, what made me the way I am today
7) exercise! (I'm a work out freak now'a days) Healthyer is happier, guess what, if you have a 6 pack of flab, you will not feel as great, as if you have a 6 pack of muscles, also looking better, is what will make people like you more in general, this is undeniable.
