"Neverland"
the window blew open
the children got a scare
the looked about the room
but no one was there
with a gentle breeze
and a glint of light
their little feet left the floor,
and soon they had realized
that they were not alone
when out of the shadows came a young boy
the one the stories were all about
the boy opened his mouth and whispered softly
"come away with me
come into the night
we'll fly away now
second star to the right"
the children smiled with glee
and took off thru the window
they flew straight on until morning.
Nverland came showing out thru the mists
an island inhabited by Pirates, Mermaids and Indians
the children now celebrated by dancing around
they threw up their hands,
they danced in the clouds
like little trampolines way up in the sky
they Jollyrodger loomed dark in the sea
with a loud "BOOM" the cannons fired
the children went flying
Hook the pirate cackled and howl'd
to mermaid lagoon,
the children had gone
to fight the good fight
to save the young boy's life
the mermaids then told them
"to the Indians you must now turn"
to the Indians they fled
so now they met,
an agreement was made,
to defeat the Pirates a strategy was needed.
the arrows now soared,
swords cut thru the air,
the Pirate's defeated,
now the children were homesick
their mother was missed
so away they flew
right on thru the night
'tll they were tucked safely in bed
caught in a deep deep slumber
dreaming of their adventure.
