Idea on how to revamp (lol 'cuz it's about vampires!) the prequel to Ravin and make it not such a terrible story! At least... not quite as cliche and badly-done as it is right now. It'll still be kinda cliche... but it'll be a lot less awful... I hope...
Possible Title(?): Life Sucks, Then You Die
Taylor Marie Nickles is 17 years old and living a not-so-happy life. Her (step?)father is a drunk(?) jerk who physically and emotionally abuses her and almost constantly fights with her mom. Her mother basically ignores her, mostly because she has to work a lot, but also because she never really wanted kids in the first place or something. The only good part of her family is her little (step)brother, who's basically her best friend even though he's only 8. She doesn't have many friends and gets teased a lot at school (reason unknown at the moment). She does like school, and gets fairly good grades most of the time, though. She smokes and drinks, like a typical "bad" teen, and sometimes uses not-so-hard drugs (Mary-Jo-Wanna and what-not). She likes to hang out at parties, or basically anywhere but home if she can help it.
At some point, Taylor notices a man seems to be following her, but she doesn't think too much about it. She has a few odd encounters with him, but for some reason, she isn't creeped out or scared or whatever by him.
(Maybe she starts getting together with him every now and them, but he's very mysterious (yay cliche, lol) and doesn't say much, except that his name is Daniel. But, he also makes his strong attraction to her very clear in many ways.)
--Not too sure about this... I want her little bro to die somehow. Not entirely sure if she's actually gonna have a brother at all...
One day, Taylor gets dragged to a party with her friends and gets drunk (or high or something) and completely forgets that she was supposed to walk her little brother home and he tries to get home on his own. He ends up getting hit and killed. Taylor's parents blame her, and she doesn't disagree. Things go from bad to worse after the accident. Again, not sure. Probably just gonna say no little-bro at all...
At some point, she comes home earlier than usual and catches her dad having an affair. She locks herself in her room and then escapes out the window before he can do anything. She runs, maybe gets into some kind of trouble, and good ol' Danny comes to the rescue or whatevers, lol.
Now the only light in her life is the mysterious Daniel, who has some kind of strange hold over her. Eventually he reveals (or she figures out) that he is a vampire and is slowly changing her. Not sure if she'll be too happy about it at first, but in the end, she accepts the change and runs away with him. Yay happily ever after. emotion_awesome
