I live in Phoenix Arizona with my friend Claire Donaldson, we help out on a small ranch called Jump to the Finish barns were we train jumper horses.I'm 21 years old and I never knew this would happen in my life, finding love and happiness. But I will tell you my story, the story of my life.

Chapter 1

I laid on my queen size bed lost in thought, totally blocking out the sounds hoping no one will come in a disturb me in this moment of peace and thinking but all hope was gone when I faintly heard "Crystal, come on we gotta go" I sat up and saw my roommate Claire, Clair Donaldson. Claire always had a odd hairstyle with different colors, at the moment it was black with red highlights and pulled back in a simple ponytail I could tell it was time for work by her riding clothes and ponytail. her voice was slightly deeper then most girls so was mine. Sometimes she would make her voice crack to be funny. She had golden brown eyes and long black eye lashes she always had a lot of eyeliner trying to make her eyes pop, Claire was short just hardly 4"11, lost in thought again Claire came up to me and slap my shoulder "Hey!" I protested "Come on Crystal or we will be late!" she said annoyed with me, I rolled my eyes and got up then quickly changed and put my black hair in a ponytail my hair would fall out of it soon from my layers. I walked outside and found Claire in my black F-450 truck, I got in the driver's seat and started the car it was a quiet drive till Claire looked at me and said "I heard Kelly is trying to set you up on a date." I sighed "Yeah she is.. She thinks I need a boyfriend when I'm just happy with Sunset." I said with a slight smile "Crystal, Sunset is a horse." said Claire "So." I said without looking at her "Maybe you do need a guy..." Claire said under her breath. I rolled my eye just ignoring her, soon we pulled up in the ranch driveway we got out of my truck and shut the doors. I locked the truck and started walking then Kelly walked up to me, Kelly was also short with short blonde hair and medium blue eyes, she was a heavy girl I don't know how she rode her little Saddlebred Quarter horse Flare. "Crystal, I'm having a concert tonight and Jake will be there." Kelly said looking in my eyes with a big smile on her chubby face "Kelly, I don't want to meet the guy. I don't even want to text him but you tell me to." I said walking away heading to Sunset's stall "Come on Crystal just meet him. You don't have to date him." said Kelly following me "Fine.." I answer annoyed. Kelly giggled with excitement, I got to Sunset's stall and smiled at the golden brown Dutch Warmblood gelding "Hey baby! How are you!" I said the gelding's head shot up he neighed and walked up to the stall door, he stuck his little black muzzle through the bars and nickered. I smiled then grabbed his navy blue halter then opened the stall door, I walked up to him and patted his big neck and slipped the halter on, I lead him out of the stall to the cross-ties then hooked him up.
