"Damn it, Vincent!" I yelled at my Angel care-taker from one hundred feet in the air above him. "Why did you let her eat that soul? The Purifiers are going to be pissed, you know that right?" "Yeah, whatever, the Purifying Angels can go suck a," Vincent started, waving me down to him. "Oh, wow, do all Angels have a filthy mouth like you two do?" the soul that escaped one of the Fallen Angels budged in. "Nope, we're a special breed." Vincent and I said together and smiled. When I finally reached the ground below the giant tree Vincent and I lived in, I nearly feel over when I saw who was standing next to Vince. "Knight? Is it really you?" I asked stupidly. Of course it was Knight. There was no other Fallen Angel as handsome and devilishly yummy as him with his long black hair, sun-tanned skin, and deep navy blue eyes. "No, there's someone else on this damned plane of souls that looks as good as I do." he responded, coming over to hug me. I flew into his open arms with tears nearly falling down my cheeks. "I just said that in my head." I whispered, knowing he would get a kick out of it. "Yeah, I figured you were focused on my good looks being back in your eyes." he winked, kissing my forehead. "Alright you lucky little soul, time for you to get on up to the next plane so they can deal with your a**." Vincent said and tapped the soul's arm with his index fingers and sent it up to the Purifiers. "So, did you miss me?" Knight asked, taking my attention away from Vincent's angry face as he looked at Knight's arm around my waist. "Of course I missed you! Who else could I get burning hot around and still feel okay with them knowing what it meant?" I punched, grabbing Knight's arm around my waist and letting him feel the heat that came from my body due to over-happiness. "Did anyone else ever make you happy while I was away?" he asked, smiling down at me and waiting happily for a 'no'. I laughed, stalling. Tell him the truth? Or not? It's always the question I have for myself. "Well, I needed to keep warm somehow. And Vincent never minded me sleeping on his chest at night. He liked the heat of my body." Expecting this would upset him, I leaned up and kissed Knight on the cheek, accidentally close to his mouth. My body burned hotter when I realized how close I was. With Knight's arm still around my waist, I knew he could tell that kissing him like that made me happy. "Alright, Vincent can have you as a blanket. But I get you as a teddy bear." he laughed and lifted me up into his chest effortlessly. A Fallen's power still seemed to amaze me, or maybe I was amazed because Knight was really really flirting back this time. My imagination couldn't make up his liking for me. It was clear. And it made me burn hotter in his arms... -P.H.
