I'm not the religious type.

Now, I'm going to tell you a little story. A person I don't like sits at my lunch table. He said he had some church thing to go to, and I made a face and said, "Psh, religion."
He gets a scared look on his face and asks, "Are you an atheist?" To see his reaction, I say, "Yes, got a problem with that?" He paled and responded with, "No, it's just if you don't believe in God, you're going to go to Hell."

That's why I don't like religion. All the religious people say if you don't believe in God, you'll go to Hell. What about Buddhists? Atheists? All the other religious that don't follow God?

I used to follow a religion; I went to Sunday school and all that. Until one day, when my little brother was in kindergarten, the teacher had a project for his class. They nailed a dummy to a cross, used ketchup for blood and called it Jesus. You know what they taught me? They said animals don't have souls. I was in first grade, and they told me that my pets couldn't go to their Heaven, that once they died, I would never see them again in the after life. You know what I did? I told the teacher she was wrong, and she said, "If you don't believe God's teachings, you're going to Hell." I went home and cried, because I thought I would never see my pets I loved so much again once they died. Needless to say, my mother pulled us out of that school.

I don't have a religion now. I do believe in God, but I think Christians are wrong. What I believe in is this: God, Jesus. Reincarnation. Evolution. Before all you say, "How can you believe in God and Evolution?" let me explain.

To God, a day is a thousand or so years for us, isn't that what the Bible says? Ok then, God put the first life on this Earth, and it took him seven days to create it, right? God put the first life on Earth, then after a week in his time, us humans had evolved. That's what I believe.
Next, I believe in Reincarnation. I don't know the stats, but I know a lot of people are born and a lot die every second. I think there are simply too many lives living right now for all of us to go to Heaven and just stay put. I also think that since there is all these people being born, where are all these souls coming from? Is God creating them? Or are they reincarnated? Also, don't you think it would get just a tad boring just sitting in Heaven for the rest of eternity? I believe that when we die, we stay in Heaven for a while, and then if we wish we may live another life. And again, this is just what I believe.

And on a final note, I do believe in ghosts. I've seen them, heard them, all that. I know they exist, so I know some people chose not to go to Heaven at all when they die. Heck, maybe they were destined to go to Hell. Maybe they're just stuck.

Now, all those that say I'm going to go to Hell because I don't follow a religion by the book, doesn't the Bible say "You must merely believe in God and that Jesus Christ is our savior and you may go to Heaven"?

That's what I thought.
