WHAT'S UP EVERYONE!!?? I ish back with another update! =D

Fine, i see how it is, but I'm still gonna put an entry in here whether you like it or not D<
Anywho, a lot has happened since I last wrote in here, surprising as that may be, so this might be a very long entry.
Okay, to begin with, school has been let out for the summer (actually, it's almost over xD), and i had been given some pretty cool awards! =D
First thing, i had entered a "Break the Silence, Stop the Violence" poster contest. At first, i wasn't interested in it, cause i normally never win those anyway, but a group had asked me to draw their poster for them. I agreed, seeing as i didn't plan to enter my own.
They gave me the basic idea of what they wanted, which was a girl crying, catching her tears in her cupped hands. I added wings and a blindfold, because i could, and they colored it. So we sent it in and didn't hear of it again for a very long while.
One day as I was walking through the halls to lunch, I saw a couple of pictures posted up on the wall and i recognized the one i had made and went over to look at it. Up in the top right corner of the picture, it had my name and it was labeled "First Place." I was excited, because i had heard there was a prize for the top five winners. I was also excited because I had beat a boy named Austin (second place winner), who made awsome drawings and i evied him. Until then, that is.
They announced me as first place winner over the loudspeaker and i basked in everyone's praise. I also felt guilty though, because the group in art class had come up with the idea. I wouldn't have gotten first place if not for them. So i told my art teacher their names so they too could also get a prize. I dunno if they did or not though...
But, the prize was an AWSOME art kit. It was a wooden case that had 2 shelves when you opened it and had tons of colored pencils, water color pencils (which i have no idea what they do) sketch pencils, paint + brushes, a pencil shapener and an eraser. It was so cool, i kept it with me to make sure no one stole it or messed with it. I don't trust too many of the kids at my school.

There was an open house event at my school, and Ms. Demio [Deh-mI-oh], our art teacher, asked my if i would like to draw in the art room while the parents and students looked around. That's all I had to do; sit down and draw.
While things were still being set up, me and a few friends sat in the art room and set thing up in there. after a while, we all were starting to feel hungry, so i head down to the cafeteria. Apparently, you need to buy a dinner ticket to get anything. And the dinner tickets were sold out. How stupid is that?! Why can't people just buy food as they go??
"Let's see, i want a pizza, a cookie and a coke."
"Okay that will be $3.00"
Is that so complicated?
So we munched on snickers and starbursts back in the class room
I only had one snicker cause Ms.Demio was worried that i'd get sick cause i told her i was alergic to cashews (which are not in snickers), but she was worried about letting me eat any nut.
We then went to an assembly and atch a ribbon be cut (i forgot what for) then headed back to the art room.
I got a big peice of paper, my fav pencil and sat down to think of what to draw.
Well, it took me about half a fipping hour to think of what to draw! Dx I had this big piece of paper and no ideas.
I finnally decide to draw a guy playing a guitar and i had to have Austin (Remember him?) draw me some guitar designs. So, while i drew my picture, Austin drew a bird (in high detail, so it was pretty cool), and when he was finished with that, he made a quick sketch of his friend, which was funny to watch cause his friend didn't sit still xD
I, mean while, was still workin on my picture, having trouble.
I didn't finish it when the open house thing was over. in fact it's not rly finished now (gotta ink it and color), but i'll upload it when it's done.

It was our sinor/end-of-the-year dance and the teachers were handing out special awards. I wasn't sure if i had wanted to go when i first heard it, but my art teacher insisted that i should.
So i did.
I arrived a little late, as i usually do for dances and parties (just ask my friends xD), wearing a spaghetti (sp?) strap, pink dress that had a thin black fabric over it, making it look somewhat purple and pink beads made the image of flowers that seemed to wrap around the dress. Brian, a boy i knew, told me that the teachers had just called me up when i walked in. Well, not JUST as i walked in, I was a little later than that. I was slightly confused at first, not knowing whether to go up to the podium now or wait till later, So I'm acting like an idiot, hesitating as i inch toward the front of the room and glance back, unsure. Ms. Collins, my science teacher who was up at the stand at the moment, waved for me to come closer and i did. Ms. Demio greeted me and said that she had announced that i had gotten an art award and given a speech. She asked if i was there for it, which i was not, so she handed me a plaque that had my name and such on a metal slab that was settled on a wooden base, painted blue (may add picture later) and she read me the speech she had. She seemed very excited to read it to me, so i figured that was the reason she'd wanted me to come. It was a touching speech, though i don't remember all of it.
My mother (who had to park the car after dropping me of since i was late) and i were shown where to sit and we ate a classy dinner. It wasn't a five-star meal, but it was still good. More awards were given out (Every student had received at least one) and afterwards, the parents left and the students partied! The music was awsome and i danced with my high-heels off, as many did, and danced with my friends.
Every now and then i'd stop dancing after i got tired and got a cup of water. I was only able to get about 3 cups before we ran out of water. WATER!! Seriously, how does someone run out of water?
Anyway, towards the end of the dance, one last slow song was played. I hadn't danced with anyone yet, and i didn't want to miss out, so i went for a really cute waiter who worked there xD. Sadly, he wasn't allowed to dance, so before the song ended, i found a cute boy that i hadn't seen before who looked like he wanted to dance with someone too (cause he was dancing goofy-like with his guy friend, both of them laughing about it.) and asked him to dance. He agreed, and we danced for the remainder of the song.
Then as our parents picked us up, we exchanged numbers with our friends and said by to the people who weren't going to be at school for the last day.

We made a tear jerking good-bye to our teachers (which i miss terribly) and went home for the summer.

About a week or so into summer vacation, and after many failed attempts, I finally scheduled an audition with the art teacher of the high school I'm going to (can't tell ya where ;]). So my dad drives me out to the school, my art portfolio in hand, and we meet up with Ms. Smith, the art teacher. She has me draw a still life portait of a vase with bristled leaves in it, a tea cup, and a pear and i only had 45 minutes to draw it. I had many art supplies layed out for me to use, though i only used a paper stub and a kneeded eraser to help me with shading and such. Sketch pencils smear WAY too much, so i used my own #2 pencil. While I worked on my picture, Ms. Smith, my dad, and one other teacher looked over my art portfolio. I had brought my art award, first place poster, and the picture of the guy playing the guitar too. At one point, I heard everyone laughing, and i guessed they found the chibi comic i'd been making of me and one of my friends, CoCo_Joe.
I actually was allowed a couple more minutes to put the last finishing touches on my picture before handing it in. As they talked about it, I heard that they'd put me on the second level (out of 4), though they didn't give us an official acceptance notice.
I'm gonna be in Visual Arts! =D
