Haven't posted anything in a while because I'm horribly lazy and stuff. But since I'm out of school and trying to get back in the habit of updating stuff here are some new pics! (check my dev art account for olderish pics that I didn't bother to post here)
But because I'm lazy I'll just copy my post from pendako...
Yes, the beach is very very boring (parents dragged me there for a week ToT, just got back today) especially when there's a tropical storm thingy just a few hundred miles from where you're staying. But the good thing about being mind-numbingly bored for a week is that I usually end up drawing a lot, and I think I ended up with a few good pieces to show for my week of utter boredom. But enough of my whining and on to the pictures.
(click for full-size image) Potentially the cover for a doujinshi that I'm attempting to get done again (not that I expect anyone to remember this, but just in case anyone was wondering my friend and I never finished that other one we were working on, but we might still do it if we have time this summer), Citrine and Nigredo from Xenosaga. I still haven't gotten very far with the story and though I'm rather determined to finish it I wouldn't be supprised if this is as far as I get.
(click for full-size image) More Xenosaga URTV fanart. A little on the sloppy side but I kinda like the look (and I know a few of the shadows on the floor don't "agree," but I didn't notice it until I uploaded the pictures so I might fix it in a bit). There isn't any particular reason for all the bandages, I just thought they might look nifty (I blame it entirely on Loveless...).
Sort of related to the last one, another XS URTV fanart. Citrine this time. I'm tempted to go back and digi ink this and CG it really graphically since it looks like it'd be interesting like that, but I dunno.
Random sketch of Ritsuka from Loveless, my latest anime obsession (it's delightful! it's catboys and shonen-ai, what else could a fangirl ask for?). He's so cute~

Now for my next CG project, it's going to be an illustration for an article I'm writing for my school newspaper. Well, the article is on media piracy on the internet so naturally I drew a "media pirate." It's probably going to get sensored / they're going to ask me to change it because it is a bit "provactive" but that's kind of the point (to draw attention to the article ^_~).

I tweaked a lot of the colors and made some minor adjustments to the lines, among other thigns. But I'm quite happy with how it came out, though I'm starting to think I should do a background for it -- I just can't think of what kind of background.
This piece probably took close to 200 layers by the time I finished, about half of that went into the lacy bits on the painer. ^.^

No pic yet (I haven't gotten far enough since my last post to warrent another progress shot), but I decided to re-do the painer (it looked like crap before). It's taken me about an hour to figure out how to make it look the way I want it to, and unfortunately that involves me copying, pasting, rotating, and positioning each individal section of the ruffled fabric, it's a pain but it's starting to look better. Another progress shot will probably go up later tonight.
[EDIT] Well, I didn't get as far as I had hoped, but it's 4am and I should probably go to sleep now. So, here's what I've got so far:
The painer is only about half finished (I still have to do the other side), but I'm much happier with how it looks now. I just realized that I totally forgot about the bow on the back of the dress, so I'll have to add that in again next time. Still need to add more lace and decide what color the corset should be (I'm thinking grey...). Then I can get onto shadows and whatnot on the clothing.

Progress shot of the CG I'm working on for the sketch I posted yesterday:
Still have a lot to do, but I got most of the lace done (brushes from Choco's Site). I changed the hair a bit from the original sketch because I decided that I liked it this way better.
