Today something unusual happened, I was called to see DuPont. He is the right hand of Father, the Vice-Council, second in command. He asked me many questions about my family and one question that seriously disturbed me. He asked me about my wife, not that I had any feelings toward her, just the way he was interrogating me. He asked me where my wife was, he knew where she was, he was at her trial and incineration four years ago. Then he asked if I was the one who brought her in. Now it made sense, he was investigating whether or not I was feeling. I don't know why I wasn't intuitive enough with her, maybe I just never expected the wife of a Cleric to cease her dose and start feeling. With a warning of not letting my vigilence flag he dismissed me. I walked out of there very perplexed. Why would he start doubting me now?
