My feet ached as I ran. "I have to get away" I would utter under my breath before checking over my shoulders. The longer I ran the more I felt the weight of my bag and clothes. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a swarm of those-things stumbling towards me, what I imagine to be hunger obvious in their vacant eyes. My eyes widened at the sight causing me to stumble a bit. Never before had I seen so many of them. My eyes scanned the field as I forced my legs to run faster. No way out. I stopped, now in the middle of the field. To my left, the city spewing clusters of the walkers. If I looked right or behind me, ocean. Right in front of me I saw a calm forest. Of all things it was the forest that frightened me most. I heard a loud bang and felt a breeze by my ear followed by a liquid (presumably blood) creeping down my neck. I instantly began to run for the gunshot, knowing that meant help. You see, I was in quite the terrible predicament. I had just woke up to walkers crawling the streets by my safe house. As I rustled getting out of bed the began to cluster at my door like clots of blood in an open wound. I blew my last few bullets fighting them off, probably attracting the rest of them to the field. Another bullet shot ripping me back to reality as I ran. I saw now that I was close enough to make out the face of the survivor.
