When I woke up the next morning, a doughy smell came from the kitchen. I slipped a hoodie on a rubbed my eyes as I drowsily walked to the small kitchen in my apartment. I was just about stretch, when someone put their hand over my mouth. I tried to wriggle free, but the intruder didn't seem to notice. I looked at him, he had silver hair, the exact same shade as Chishio's fur. "Shhhhh.....Kiten, calm down, it's me, Chishio!" I pulled his hand from my mouth "What?! Chishio is that really you?!" The silver haired boy nodded. "Wait, how?! *gasp* It mustv'e been that crystal last night!" I guessed. "Maybe....oh wait! I know why this must've happened!" He said. I waited for him to explain. "Believe it or not, I wasn't always the cat you know and love....I don't remember much of it, but I was told that I'd have to protect the mizuki-kitsune when she turned fourteen, and last night was your fourteenth birthday." I gasped "Your right! But, how did you turn into this," I gestered toward him. Then it hit me, the crystal. I glanced down at the golden, yellow crystal that hung from my neck. Chishio noticed too, "That's the crystal I was given before you found me! Oh my god, it's all comming back to me now!" "Let's have breakfast while you explain," I said calmly. He nodded. We had our normal breakfast- ramen noodles, pancakes, and coffee- and sat on the couch in front of the T.V. When he started to explain, I couldn't help but notice that nothing had really changed with him. Maybe his eyes had gotten a little darker, and of course he was half human and all. I looked into his yellow/green eyes. After a few seconds, he waved his hand in front of my face, "Kiten? You okay?" I shook my head and said nervously "Y-yeah I'm fine!" I started to turn a bright red. He smiled, "You've never blushed like that around me before, why now?" I didn't know what to say, so I just hugged him. "No reason, I'm just happy to have some explanations around here ^^." We laughed and started eating, Chishio explaining through mouthfuls of pancakes.
