OC: Carissa Lin "Her? She's a priestess.. you know, the ones that kill gods. A Kami Slayer." Summary:
Carissa Lin grew up with a normal family and lived a normal childhood. When she naively fell in love with a arrogant boy, she never realized the pains of heartbreak. Heartbroken and wanting to change her normal lifestyle, she signed up to become a priestess of one of the gods. They accepted her graciously and took her to see her affinity beforehand -- the aura was a dirty water color. Mixed with brown and blue, very opaque.. conflicted.
A few years had passed and she was finally graduating from being a mere shrine maiden, to a priestess. They once more took her to check her affinity -- from what was once a muddy color, was a crisp, clear blue aura. Carissa implored [redacted] to accept her as her priestess, in which [redacted] accepted.
Carissa learned not only from the tutelage of the Kami Shrinehood, but also from [redacted], who once had over 30 priestesses.. now to only one. Using cryomancy, Carissa suppressed her heartbroken emotions, and scattering [redacted]'s shards all over her body. She studied religiously and practiced as much as she could; [redacted]'s lessons could easily kill her as the other 29 priestesses, and there will be no turning back.
The jobs of being [redacted]'s priestess was simple: kill the corrupt gods. The gods that abused their people, the ones that sought to kill [redacted], and the ones that became insane. She would be the blade of [redacted]; The Kami Slayer.
OC: Serena [redacted] "The girl with the helmet? Yeah, I know her. She's one of the prodigal Muses. From what I heard, she just showed up from nowhere and no one knows what she looks like underneath." Summary
The girl, Serena, was a middle child in a wealthy family. While her parents scorn was towards her older sister, Lilitha, her parents unnecessarily gave their affection to her younger brother, Yain. Serena grew to be quiet, hardworking, and always willing to go to do things to please her parents. She excelled in her studies and was particularly fond of music.
As she grew older, her parents told her to go to college and become a doctor; leaving no room for her to object. Her anxiety towards her parents forced decision skyrocketed, leaving Serena in tears and listening to music to try and calm her down.
It was by that chance that Serena realized her calling: music. She had a definitive affinity with it, and went to see her parents to convince them. They immediately shut her down on that "preposterous" idea. Immediately following up with a threat - should she pursue such a job like that, she will disown the family name. Her claim as an heir would be given solely to her brother, and she shall be nothing but a memory.
Conflicted, Serena walked back to her room and thought about it. She would do it. She would give up the family name for this -- she had lived her whole life trying to please her parents; for their approval. They had never paid much attention to her, and music was a part of her life. She made a plan, and within 3 months, she had moved out, without a trace of her whereabouts.
