Dreams are like living. However instead of just living for a select few years we live hundreds of millions every night after we close our eyes. These dreams hold a significant importance in your 'mortal' lives and are the masks of what we feel.
The pain of immortality
“I wonder what real blackness looks like?” Uri wondered staring up at the stars. Space was cold and yet she felt nothing neither did she have to breathe. She had never needed to yet there was no point in bothering. Floating here in space she looked back at her lengthy past. She seemed young and she knew perfectly why. She had been fourteen when she realized exactly what she was. The dreams that told her, her future had at last revealed the Orb. It had snatched her that day and she had become half of it. Now she was practically ancient even if she had not changed. “Another life another day and still all I wish for is death.” She acknowledged. It hurt her heart to know that her friends and family had already entered the void and she could not join them. Her funny friend Marce had made her laugh even when they were not together. Janna her best friend had left but Uri could remember everything they had done together and she missed it. Why live forever when you cannot be with your friends? She hated the glowing ball that had enslaved her and wrenched away normality. Now normal was floating through space without comfort, now the insanity Uri had hidden for her mortal life broke out and she dreamt about everything. She had always been unstable always on the brink of madness and now she had crossed the border. All the things she had seen under the Sources power haunted her. War, Suffering they were nothing on their own but piled on top of each other it was a terrible mix. Uri’s Scream was unheard and yet it set to tear her ears apart. Friends had been cut down, comrades murdered and she herself had been stabbed and hacked apart so many times. The agony of her grieving doubling with every adventure until her own heart snapped apart. Tears streaked down her face only to float off into space slowly. “Why me?!?” She tried to shriek into space in agony. Everything had been stripped away and yet there was still no blackness, her mind was painted the color of blood. Pain was as blood and blood is pain so Uri could not escape a prison of immortality. She could wish and scream all she liked but no help came. Even the orb was silent as she denounced all gods alike. Uri knew this but still shrieked her hatred to the stars hoping that someone somewhere would hear her.
