Parents, children and religion.
Hello, everyone, now to start off with, I'll tell you guys a little something about the cousin of a friend of mine so you can all understand a little better why I'm writing this, I'll do it real quick and rushy so that I can get to my point as quickly as possible.
Awhile ago I've met my friend's cousin, and I've been thinking about this all for quite awhile now. And this cousin's parents are Christians, and what they basically do is teach this poor kid to hate muslims, to hate all kinds of things, and they're basically push their religion onto their child, stupid thing is, this knuckle head gladly accepts it, and I personally think that this is pretty wrong.
Now, if I were a parent, I'd just let my children find out for themselves what they want, and I wouldn't care whether he/she'll become an atheist, a Christian, a satanist or a muslim. Because in my opinion trying to teach your children what is right and what is wrong, is just wrong, I find they should be free to find these things out for themselves, besides something as compicated as religion, is too complicated for kids of like 7 or 8 years of age to understand, sure they read the stories of the bible and heard of Jesus and stuff but that's not all that's to it.
For example:
I had 2 children, (I'm not gonna actually try this but this is how I see things) and I'd just let one be free to find things out for himself and I'd teach the other to basically be racist, I'd teach him that dark skinned people ruin or society etc. So this kid who has been free to find things for himself will probably grow into a well.. basically a healthy minded person, whereas my other kid, the racist will grow up hating dark skinned people, or being Islamophobic or a homophobe or whatever I've taught him to be.
Ofcourse it's okay to tell your children that it's wrong to kill people, and that it's wrong to torture and that it's wrong to rape, but when you're teaching them to for example, to hate (In most muslim's cases) everyone who is not a muslim, then that's just wrong.
So my point is, you parents out there, just let your kids figure out things (involving religion) for themselves.
Oh and for those who actually had the attention span to read all this and to those who read this without getting pissed at me: CONGRATS you deserve a cookie razz
