Remember to remember:
"And when I entered it was as if nothing had changed. A fan from the back corner of the room was blowing on her--I would guess it was muffling her hearing, seeing that she hadn't become conscious of my presence.
I cleared my throat.
When she finally looked up(and I truly remember this) the look on her face was like she had just become aware of someone that was about take her picture--realization and curiosity.
"Hello, I was told that you fix clocks?""
"I watched as she turned and slowly walked over to the window, although I felt like screaming at the top of my lungs, I only gripped the suitcase handle tighter. There was a great possibility that we were feeling the same thing: a child entering a carnival for the second time, so eager to try and recreate their first experience there, so eager to have the time of their lives."

If I ever finish the short story, I want one of these passages to be in it.
Inspiration is found in the funniest(and most ironic) places, isn't it?
