At the dawn of civilization in the modern samurai era of today, there are elemental clans fighting a treacherous war for ten years now. Many have tried for peace, and all died mysteriously. It started as three nations that became infused in violence by a power struggle between the clans. The sacred elements were fire, water, wind, lightning, earth, and darkness. The Three nations are a cresent moon shaped one called Luna, a group of islands named Agatha, and an unique shaped one known Zephirus (also nicknamed Z island for short). No one can recall how the feud began, or why it continued. The various mages no longer meet just as the nations no loger converse with one another. Now all are enemies. In the past, they were three nations that always helped and bonded with another. They were very close, like their people once were. But suddenly everything changed.
Chapter 1- The Meeting
The tall grass rustled with every footstep. A shadow danced across the Black forest. Running and ready, armed like an owl hunting its prey, he pursued his victim with intense speed in the dead of night. The watching moon hovered above full and red. Wildly trying to survive, the defenseless target ran vigorously toward the village with desperate hope. But unfortunatley...it was far too late. Bang! Bang! Ebony and Ivory pierced his heart hitting their mark. The hunter walked up slowly. Frozen frightened eyes stared at him. Ghost brought up his sword and... SLASH! cut off the head mercillessly, claiming his trophy. Howls of wolves suddenly filled the air. "Nuts!" Ghost whispered and disappeared into the silent dense of the undergrowth.
"Lady! My lady!" yelled men as they rushed into the store. A woman appeared from behind a curtain. "what is it? What happened?" Her eyes widened at the sight of blood. " Jake was found dead! Can you do anything?" " Let me have a look," she replied, " and bring him in here." She lead them through a curtain and they laid the corpse on a bed, where her patients would lay. Tonight, there was no other. She examined it carefully. "How horrible...shot twice in the heart and deheaded...but I think I can revive him." Going into her private storage of herbs, potions, spell ingredients, and other what nots, she came out with a bowl of them. " Clean him up while I prepare." she instructed as she set her neccessities down on a round table nearby and placed a black pot over a fire. The men grabbed small towels and cleaned up the body as one man came in with a bucket of water. "Get me some water also please. " the maiden spoke without looking up as she grinded some odd red leaves and berries. After her pot was filled and boiling, she started to add the ingredients. " Leaves of Blood trees, Dawn Berries, Fiery seeds, Deathclaw, Purity feathers, and blossoms of our own Zephirus trees freshly picked." Stirring, she chanted a spell, " From Hades, I drag life of fallen. Reborn! akak. Blood loss, then light renewed. Darkness! Ebotha. The one called Jake blossoms again, head and all. Awaking! Otha. The potion's smoke turns to gree and red flames and a soul strikes out of it into the corpse with a moan. "Nomnomnom!""Hold him up. This must fill his veins." The men do so. The young mistress lifts the pot up and starts pouring the liquid into the headless neck. the body glows white starting from the toes up, just like a bowls filling up. As it got to the neck, it didn't overflow. It formed the shape of the missing head, new skin and all. Then they laid body back against the wall, as it shined filled the room. Astounded men stood behind the teen with an empty pot. A bright blinding light shone, and when vision was possible again...a live man sat looking at them surprised at first and then confused."Welcome back Jake." The young female replied. Jake looked around, "Am I alive?" "Yes, You've been given another chance to continue your life. Nothing has changed. Now please go. I have work to be done." The woman waved them to leave. The men, including Jake, hustled out with swift gratitude as they passed by. The lonely maiden snapped her fingers, and the bloodied bed turned into a clean one wihout a trace of what had just happened. "Ah..." the maiden sighs as she walks to the back of her store, which is also her home. She opens the back door and goes onto the front porch, and gazes at the moon. "Must there always be violence?" She asks herself. Yellow and now golden, the moon stared silently back with little comfort. She sat down on the wooden board of the clean porch gazing at the starry night sky. " every wish, dream, and love are stars in the sky. Difficult to grasp, impossible to contain easily. I would wish upon those tiny wonders, but I have found some irony in it. When a star gives you bliss, another makes you wish...""Wolf! Wolf!" A small dog runs up fondly and crawls into her lap. "Hi there Chy." She pets the dog as it falls asleep. " The nigh is so mysterious, isn't it?" she whispers sleepily. Lifting up her campanion, she walks into her home, the back of the store that is her home that's away from where her recent patient was. Placing Chy on a pillow in a small basket with a blanket, she then went to sleep soundly.
Elsewhere in a dangerous secret place, an expressionless vile man speaks darkly, "Have you completed your mission?" "Yes Snake, it's done." Ghost answered. The man smiled wickedly, " Any proof? Trophy?" "Yes," Ghost tosses the head to the man, "here." "Very good..." the dark man replied, the turned to his minions, "Give him his pay." Snake then turned back to Ghost, " Here is your 90,000,000 yen as promised." Ghost collected his pay, and left the place silently preparing for his next job. His next bloody one. But first, he must restock and prepare. Ghost runs into the night back toward the village where his last recent one just took place. No one saw him, so he should be fine...or so he thought.
In the sunny morning on a cold, freezing winter day, the wind blew howling. Birds are soaring against the harsh winds. Trees sway vernerably and their branches rustled painfully. Snow covered everything like a blanket. Cold yet tough, he walks into a store. Coincidentally, the same one owned by the sorceress that revived Jake the night before. The bell rang. Ring! Ring! "Hello sir," the maiden peeked from behind the curtain and came to the counter, " how can I help you?" Ghost approaches the counter greeting, " hello, do you have zegata, undeda, claw of falco, and a thorn of blood for tensu?" "You don't seem familiar from around here," she states curiously, " what is your purpose for them?" "I have my purposes." Ghost replies flatly. "Can't you say them?" "No, will you give them to me or not?" Ghost asks irritated. "I'm afraid not. Those ingredients ,when mixed, create a dangerous poison. I don't want innocent people harmed. " "Hand them over, " Ghost draws out his Ebony gun and threatens, "or else." "No," the maiden remarks coldly. "Give them to me woman or else!" Ghost repeats inching he gun closer. "No, " she repeats as well lifting one hand showing her magical ability, " now go or else." "I'll go to a different store then." "there isn't another one, " the mage answers pleased," with the ingredients you want.” "I'll come back!" Ghost backs away toward the door, " I will get them!" "As you say...as you say...let's see about that." the maiden waves him off. Ghost runs out frustrated. When he is back in the forest, ghost murmurs, " Not as easy as I thought...can't cuz any attention right now...hm...what should I do?"
Please tell what you think, I am considering putting this in the writing arena.
